We can help Design and Install the perfect Commercial System for you.

If its just 10kw or 100 kW plus Energy Coast Electrical have the solutions.

We know exactly what it takes to design and install the large scale PV systems, because we are the QLD state school approved installers.

We have done 50kw to 140kw systems throughout QLD

We can offer completely optimised systems with wifi monitoring for every panel installed. So you will never have to worry about a fault, potentially costing you thousands of lost revenue.

We will help you decide which commercial PV system is right based on your business’s energy usage.

What does grid-connect mean?

For this type of system to be installed, your home needs to be part of the main electricity grid (all suburban homes are) and receive a power bill.

Once your PV system is installed, primarily your home will draw from the solar power first and then from the main electricity grid. If your system is producing more solar power than is required in your home, the excess will be feed back to the grid for a credit from the electricity retailer you are with (see Feed-in-tariff)

Its time to get paid!!

This is the amount of credit per kw, fed back to the grid from your system that you will receive from the electricity retailer.

Most companies offer between 6c-16c per kw, but thats a discussion you will have to have with your power company.

Store energy you aren’t using during the day, so you can use it when you need it most

Our battery solutions means you can preserve your energy – allowing you to peak shave and receive credit on your electricity bills.

How does the whole process work?

Once you have decided, (with the guidance of one of our Prime Solar & Electrical team members) on the Inverter and Panels best suited to your home and budget ,we lock in a installation date.

We don’t require you to be home all day, but if someone could be home when the install team arrive. (usually between 7-8:30am)  We can then confirm and finalise all locations of equipment being installed.

The install itself usually takes between 4-6hrs, no one needs to be home during this time, but if you are, thats fine too.

Once the install is complete, we require someone to be home. The electrician can then run through the whole system, hand over manuals and make sure you are 100% satisfied with the install.

Whether we leave your inverter and system on will be dependant on the type of electricity meter you already have installed at your home.

If you have the incorrect meter or it needs to be re-programmed to accept the solar feed-in-tariff , we will have to submit an Electrical Work Request (EWR) to the electricity supplier. There is NO CHARGE for this action, however this process can usually take anywhere from 2-6weeks, meaning your new system will have to stay OFF.

Once you have been notified by Energex/Ergon that the meter works has been completed, YOU ,can then turn your new system ON. From that day forward you will be producing solar power and capitalising on all the benefits of having solar system on your home.
